Access the Health Insurance Marketplace at the healthcare.gov website. Click on the tabs throughout the website to learn more about the Affordable Care Act and the plans that are available.
Continue with enrollment if you qualify. Take the interactive quiz to see if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period. If not, you have to wait until open enrollment, which usually begins in November for coverage beginning the following year.
Click on the "Get Coverage" tab, and select your state from the drop-down menu. If you are in an open enrollment period, then you can fill out an application.
