If the operating company is unknown, clicking on the Our Electric Companies tab brings up a map. Click on the geographical area where service needs to be, and the name of the operating company then appears. Once the name of the operating company is established, choose Select Your Electric Company and select from the drop-down menu. From the next page, choose Start Service. Near the bottom of the page, click on the Move-In Form.
The current address and contact information along with new location information needs to be filled in to set up an account The consumer also needs to set up a log-in account with a user name and password.
The next step is to choose a start date for service. A minimum of two to three days' advance notice is required to start service. Billing options, credit card or bank account information are the next pieces of information to be completed.
Once all the information has been completed, a printable confirmation page appears. An email is sent out as an additional confirmation of the date for starting new service.
Starting new service can also be established over the phone. All of the above information is needed in order to start new service. Ordering service by phone, however, can only be done during business hours which are Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.Learn more about Customer Service
