As a BMO account holder, register for online banking by entering a debit card and account number or credit card number and answering security questions to verify your identity. With an online banking account, you can access account information, balances and transactions.
You can also use your online account to transfer money, pay bills and set up future payments. If you do not want printed statements, you can sign-up for e-statements through the online account. The Manage My Finances tab allows you to track spending, create budgets and set savings goals.
In addition to online access, you can register for mobile access by downloading the BMO Mobile Banking app. The mobile app allows you to view statements, balances and recent transactions, pay bills, transfer money between accounts, make appointments at a Bank of Montreal branch location, and search for nearby ATM and branch locations.
BMO's telephone banking option also boasts around-the-clock account access. Use the service to open new accounts, update contact information, order checks or traveler's checks, or request a stop payment.
Even with online banking, you can still visit any branch location to manage an account, as well as open new accounts, apply for credit cards and loans, or change your bank account plan. Some locations offer self-service coin counters.
