Wells Fargo Shareowners Online offers account management services to its members, including the ability to enroll in a plan, make account changes, perform transactions, purchase or sell stock, and print records. Members can access their accounts online at any time and from anywhere, and they also can receive statements electronically, which simplifies record keeping and reduces the danger of identity theft, states Wells Fargo.
Members can use Shareowners Online to research the investment options available through Wells Fargo. The financial firm administers over 140 dividend reinvestment and direct purchase plans as of 2015, and Shareowners Online provides plan information and enrollment material for all of them. Members can purchase shares through a direct purchase plan or automatically reinvest dividends by setting up a dividend reinvestment plan, explains Wells Fargo.
Wells Fargo also offers WellsTrade, an online brokerage account that offers the ability to buy, sell and manage investments online. Clients can screen thousands of securities, calculate tax and retirement information, and receive advice regarding investment strategy and analysis, states Wells Fargo. The WellsTrade mobile app allows clients to use their phones to make trades and manage funds, set up alerts for transaction status or market information, and receive real-time quotes and options information.
