The Los Angeles County Housing Authority provides public housing, Section 8 and supportive housing for veterans. As of December 2015, there is a waiting list for Section 8 and Public Housing in Los Angeles County, though residents in need are encouraged to fill out an application. The Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing Program was founded in 2009 to assist homeless veterans and their families.
The Housing Authority of the County of Riverside aids in the development, rehabilitation and financing of affordable housing programs.
