As of 2015 Duke Energy (with which Progress Energy merged) provides utility services to homes and businesses in the Carolinas, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Florida. The Duke Energy website allows customers to create accounts to view and pay their bills online, view energy saving information and buy products and services.
Customers can sign up for services by going to the Duke Energy home page, choosing their states of residence and choosing services, or by utilizing the company contact information provided on the website. The home page has both a section for home services and one for businesses services.
Both home and business customers can click on their respective tabs and click the Pay Your Bill button to pay online bills. The website requires an online account for bill payment, which users can create on the website with their Duke Energy account information.
Under both the home and business tabs are links to company products and services. Customers can follow these links to find out how to sign up for home protection plans (for residential customers), outdoor lighting, surge protection and Duke energy connections. The Duke Energy website also has a support center for customers to field questions in either English or Spanish.
