BillMatrix offers El Paso Electric customers bill-paying services. Customers can pay their El Paso Electric bill using the BillMatrix system to pay by electronic check or with a credit card. Customers can also make a security deposit using the BillMatrix system.
For payment of an El Paso Electric bill a customer can pay online or by phone. Payments can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. There is a fee of $2.35 to use the system, as of 2015. The accepted forms of payment on the BillMatrix system are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, ATM/debit cards with a Pulse, NYCE or Star ACCEL logo, and electronic checks. In order to register to use this system, customers need to provide their El Paso Electric account numbers and service address zip codes. Customers also need to input their payment information.
Payments made by 6 p.m. Mountain Time on a business day post to accounts the following business day. Payments made after 6 p.m. Mountain Time on a business day or weekend post to accounts in two business days.
Customers receiving shut-off notices or who are paying to have their services restored must contact the El Paso Customer Service Centers in Texas at (915) 543-5970 or in New Mexico at (575) 526-5555 with their confirmation numbers to advise of the payment and to schedule a reconnection.
