How does the Sears Choice Rewards program work?

Quick Answer

The Sears Choice Rewards program is a rewards program designed for Sears MasterCard holders. The program allows members to earn points for every dollar charged on a Sears MasterCard wherever MasterCard is accepted, as of 2015. The Sears Choice Rewards program has two membership levels, one with an annual fee and one without one. Members that do not pay an annual fee receive one point for every dollar charged on the card. Members with an annual fee receive two points per dollar charged at Sears, Kmart, grocery stores, drug stores and gas stations. They continue to earn one point everywhere else Mastercard is accepted. There is no limit to how many points may be earned in a calendar year, and points expire on the third anniversary of enrollment after the purchase.

In general, rewards do not cost the member anything other than points as shipping and sales tax are included. However, expedited shipping or shipping to Alaska or Hawaii may carry additional charges. The cheapest rewards start at 2,500 points, as of 2015. Some rewards go on sale, meaning that they cost a reduced number of points for a limited time.

This program should not be confused with the Shop Your Way Rewards program, which is Sears's traditional rewards program. Sears Choice Rewards points can be converted into Shop Your Way points, but they expire one year after the conversion and are subject to the terms of the other program. Sears Choice Rewards points are not transferable to any other rewards program.
