Select the Search Homes category to search for specific properties, reports Renwood RealtyTrac. You can find the most recent foreclosure listings across the United States on RealtyTrac.com. RealtyTrac also allows users to view results in the form of an interactive map or a list layout. Shift between the map and list views by clicking on the respective icons.

To target foreclosures in a particular area, use the polygon tool while in the Map view, notes Renwood RealtyTrac. Click on the orange polygon tool in the navigational pane at the top left-hand corner of the map while in the map view. Use a mouse or stylus tool to draw a circle around the area in which you want to buy property. RealtyTrac then locates foreclosure properties within the circle. The website also shades the area in the color purple to help the user quickly identify the selection. Available properties are color-coded by categories such as preforeclosures, bank-owned properties and auction properties. Polygon-tool search results cannot be saved.
