A Radio City Rockette makes about $1,500 a week as of 2015, earning an average of about $36,000 a year, according to New York lifestyle blog Gothamist. Since the Rockettes tend to only work around the holiday season, their yearly salary is less than if they performed all year long. Many Rockettes perform for other companies when not dancing through the holidays.
In order to become a Rockette, a woman must meet certain physical requirements. She must be at a minimum height of 5 feet 6 inches without shoes, according to Radio City. She must also have a dance background in jazz, ballet or tap dancing.
