To return an online order from IKEA, ship the item to IKEA's returns warehouse, call a local IKEA store to arrange for pickup or bring the item to a local IKEA store. Fees may apply for shipping or when IKEA picks up a returned item. There is no fee when bringing a return to an IKEA store.
IKEA reserves the right to request photo documentation of damaged or defective merchandise prior to picking it up. This includes mattresses returned under its "Love it or Exchange it" policy.
IKEA's in-store return policy applies to all online returns that are brought back to stores. All returns must be accompanied by a receipt and a photo ID. IKEA reserves the right to refuse any return, including an online return, that is not accompanied by both a receipt and photo ID. Returns are given in the same form as the original purchase; online orders made with a credit or debit card are refunded to that card.
Shipping and delivery fees for online orders are not refundable. IKEA does not accept returns of items purchased as-is or custom countertops. If promotional items are part of the purchase, these must be returned for a full refund. Customers who do not return promotional items have the value of those items deducted from their refunds.
