XE provides free online currency exchange rates that are updated constantly via its website, XE.com, as of 2015. The website also features comprehensive access to world currencies and provides links to currency exchange services.
XE was founded as Xenon Laboratories Incorporated in 1993 and launched XE.com as an online financial resource in 2012. By 2014, the XE app had garnered over 25 million downloads. In addition to information on exchange rates, XE provides money transfer services, bank rate information and robust currency data reports. XE is useful for serious investors who need comprehensive insight into international trends.
To use the converter, visit XE.com. Find the converter on the home page, and enter the number of units and the type of currency to be converted. Additionally, click More Currencies\ to see a full list of supported currency.
For less involved currency conversion purposes, Google provides currency exchange rate information as part of the Google Finance suite, which also provides news, stock screening and information on domestic trends. Access Google's converter by entering "Currency Converter" into the Google search bar. The converter is located before any search results. The converter includes a great number of currencies, though not as extensive as XE as of 2015. It also provides a snapshot of exchange rates over the past five years between the two currencies in the form of a line graph displayed beside the converter.
