Next, users enter their total household income and any applicable deductions, credits and payments. Each answer updates the numbers to the right on the "Where You Stand" chart. This chart provides users deduction, exemption and tax information.
Users on H&R Block's website enter their filing status, age and number of dependants they claim. Then users enter their total income followed by their expenses for the previous year.
