Full Answer

Republic Services is a Florida-based waste management company that acquired the remnants of Browning-Ferris Industries in 2008 after buying out Allied Waste, a company that bought out BFI in 1999. To rent a dumpster from Republic Services, go to the company's website at RepublicServices.com, and locate the Residents section. Choose Dumpster Removal from the list of options at the top of the page, and click the blue box that says Request Services to begin the process of renting a dumpster. As of October 2015, the size of the dumpsters available to rent through Republic Services range from 10 to 40 cubic yards.

After the buy-out in 1999, some local units of Allied Waste were still known as BFI in the areas they served, but the company eventually retired the brand completely. However, some companies, such as Waste Connections, Inc. still feature the signature BFI shade of blue and BFI logo on dumpsters for rent. The Republic Services dumpsters maintain this shade of blue as well.
