Full Answer

Points are earned for everyday purchases using a TD Travel Visa card, as TD Rewards reports. Travel may be booked through the customer's choice of website, agency or program with points redeemed after purchase. Expenses incurred within 90 days are eligible for points redemption. Eligible expenses include most transportation, accommodation and miscellaneous expenses with some exclusions. Special merchandise deals and discounts are also available exclusively to cardholders through the TD Rewards website.

Different TD Travel Visa cards have distinct benefits, as TD Rewards claims. Bonus points are earned by adding other household members to the same card account or setting up automatic bill payments using the TD Travel Visa. Other card features including optional travel protection, extended warranties for purchases, travel medical insurance, balance protection and car rental insurance are available to cardholders. Expenses that are normally excluded by the program such as theater tickets, restaurant bills and gasoline are redeemable if purchased during travel. Local commuter ferry transport is specifically excluded although BC ferry travel is permitted.
