To create a library, go to myuv.com, select Sign Up in the tool bar at the top of the page, and click on Create Your Library Here. Enter your name, email address and country, create a username and password, and click Create Library. Alternatively, sign up to create an UltraViolet library through the retailer from which you bought the disc, and wait for UltraViolet to send you an email with your UltraViolet password. To redeem a movie code, select Collect on the myuv.com toolbar, and click on Redeem the Code. Type in the complete redemption code, and click Enter.

When purchasers use redemption codes to add movies to their UltraViolet libraries, they enable their right to access the films and stream them on their computers, smartphones, tablets and other devices. Once users load films into their libraries, the rights do not expire, but if purchasers do not redeem movie codes within a designated time period, the code validity may expire. UltraViolet libraries are free for purchasers of movie discs to set up and use, as of 2015.
