Full Answer

A Fidelity home warranty is a one-year contract that covers many areas of a home that are typically not covered under homeowner's hazard insurance, such as the home's electrical system, toilets, garage door opener, microwave and oven. The warranty is designed to cover items that break or malfunction due to normal wear and tear or age. Customers can also add other items, such as the home's refrigerator, washer, dryer and pool equipment, via optional coverage.

Fidelity home warranties cover homes of all types, sizes and ages. However, the systems and appliances that are covered need to be in good working condition at the beginning of the service contract. When a customer experiences a problem with a covered issue, Fidelity National Home Warranty sends a qualified subcontractor to perform the work within three business days. A service fee is required for each visit.

Fidelity National Home Warranty is a member of the National Home Service Contract Association, and the company maintains an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
