The Prince George’s County Circuit Court in Maryland offers family support services that include psychological evaluations, home study investigations and domestic violence screenings. The Circuit Court also offers drug and alcohol screenings and mediation programs.
The Circuit Court provides interpreters free of cost to litigants. Interpreters are available for spoken and sign languages. The Court also provides transcripts and compact discs of hearings before a Circuit Court judge. Paralegals from the Circuit Court’s Family Division Paralegal Unit help lawyers and parties in some family law cases. The paralegals can answer procedural questions on behalf of a lawyer or a party.
The Circuit Court also offers a children’s waiting room and a lactation center.
