Program/project management certification classes are available from the Project Management Institute, Stanford University, University of California's Berkeley Extension, Portland State University and the Northwestern School of Professional Studies. Go to the websites of these institutions and look up their certificate programs to find project management classes.
The Project Management Institute has a Project Management Professional certification program for project managers across the globe. Locate their certificate page by going to the website homepage and clicking on the Certifications tab. The prerequisites for the program are a high school diploma, associate degree or equivalent, and 7,500 hours of project management work. You can also enter with a four-year degree and 4,500 hours of project management work.
The Stanford Advanced Project Management program is available online at Stanford or at your workplace. You can apply for the program on the Stanford website. UC Berkeley lists its project management courses under its Certificate Program in Project Management page. As of 2015, courses include Project Execution and Control and Project Scope and Quality Management. Many of these courses have both online and classroom delivery options.
As of 2015, Portland State University lists four core project management courses: Project Planning and Organization, Project Management Communications and Teamwork, Project Execution and Management, and Project Leadership and Conflict Management.
Northwestern lists its program under its Professional Development Certificate section.
