Dancers and choreographers are considered the professions that have the highest divorce rate. A 2010 study by the Journal of Police and Criminal Psychology found that working in the dance field came with a 43.05 percent divorce rate. Bartenders were the second-highest, with a divorce rate of 38.43 percent.
Other professions that are known for having a high divorce rate include massage therapists, gaming-cage workers and extruding-machine operators. Factory workers and phone operators, such as customer service reps or telemarketers, also have a high divorce rate. Maids and housekeepers, roofers and waiters or waitresses also are professions that have been found to have a high divorce rate.
