The hCG diet requires taking the hormone either via injection or products such as drops, pellets or sprays. HCG Supplies sells 23-day and 43-day mixing kits for both the 5,000 International Unit and the 2,000 International Unit dosage of the hormone. The kit comes with a vial, syringes and bacteriostatic water for mixing the solution. Vials come in clear or amber. Syringes come with either a 1/2-inch, 28-gauge needle or a 1 1/4-inch, 27-gauge needle. Bacteriostatic sodium chloride is a possible substitute for the water.
HCG Supplies sells the items separately as well. The site also sells alcohol preparation pads, syringe filters, HCG test strips and ampoule breakers. Sublingual B12, which helps with absorption during sublingual hCG ingestion, is also available. The site doesn't sell the hormone itself.
Dr. A.T.W. Simeons developed the hCG diet. Dieters are limited to 500 calories a day for eight weeks. The desired amount of weight loss determines the dosage of the hormone. The claim is that combining the very-low-calorie diet with the hormone can result in losing one pound every day. However, the Food and Drug Administration has not substantiated these claims.Learn more about Corporations
