The Coca-Cola Company offers many products including its namesake, Coca-Cola, as well as Sprite, Mellow Yellow, Odwalla and Glaceau Vitaminwater. It also produces Fanta and NOS energy drinks. In select locations, Coca-Cola Company also produces Bacardi Mixers and Evian water.
Atlanta pharmacist Dr. John S. Pemberton created Coca-Cola in 1886. After Pemberton formulated the flavored syrup and added carbonation, it became an instant hit. Dr. Pemberton's partner and bookkeeper named the product and is also credited for the distinct Coca-Cola script. Long after Dr. Pemberton's death in 1888, the company decided it needed a distinct bottle to set it apart from its competitors. In 1916, Coca-Cola revealed its distinctive contoured bottle; the company trademarked the bottle in 1977.
Odwalla is a nutritional brand that has been producing smoothies, 100 percent fruit juices and protein shakes for over 30 years. Glaceau Vitaminwater is nutrient-enhanced flavored water available in 26 countries. First introduced in 1940, Fanta is the Coca-Cola Company's second oldest brand and the second largest soft drink brand outside of the United States. The company purchased NOS energy drinks in 2007. The 22-ounce version of this drink comes in a bottle that resembles a canister of nitrous oxide, making it popular among auto enthusiasts, as of 2015.
