Are Products From Amazon Warehouse Deals Refurbished?

Amazon Warehouse Deals include deeply discounted products which are not necessarily refurbished. The inventory in these sales come from customer returns, in-warehouse damaged items and refurbished merchandise.

The products which appear on Amazon's Warehouse Deals are all tested by Amazon prior to purchase. These items are inspected to ensure the item is still functional. If it is not functioning properly, the product does not go on sale. However, products with cosmetic blemishes including scuffs, scrapes and dings are deemed acceptable for sale. The condition of the item is listed on the Amazon advertisement. This information is categorized in one of the following five labels: new, like new, very good, good and acceptable.

Items listed as "new" have never been removed from the original packaging; however, this packing may have some damage. Products with the "like new" label may have been removed from the original packaging, but the item is otherwise in perfect condition. "Very good" is attached to items which have either been used, feature minor cosmetic damage or are missing accessories. Items with a large amount of cosmetic damage, missing accessories and have been repackaged are listed as "good." "Acceptable" products are likely to have more significant cosmetic damage, missing both accessories and manuals, as well as featuring replacement packaging.
