The two best-performing ETFs in the first half of 2015 were Market Vectors ChinaAMC SME-ChiNext, ticker symbol CNXT, and Deutsche X-trackers Harvest CSI 500 China-A Shares Small Cap ETF, ticker symbol ASHS, reports ETF.com. The value of CNXT increased 65 percent in that time while ASHA increased 61 percent.
CNXT targets 100 of the largest stocks listed on two Chinese exchanges that cater to small and medium-sized companies, according to ETF.com. ASHS also tracks small-cap companies listed on Chinese exchanges. The ETFs completing the top-five performing ETFs were ALPS Medical Breakthroughs ETF, ticker symbol SBIO; SPDR S&P Biotech, ticker symbol XBI; and BioShares Biotechnology Products, ticker symbol BBP. SBIO increased in value by 43 percent, XBI increased by 35 percent, and BBP increased by 34 percent.
