To pay someone with PayPal, create an account, select the country the recipient resides, enter how much to pay, and send the payment by entering an email address. There is a fee for sending payment with a credit or debit card.
- Sign up for a PayPal account
An individual who doesn't have a PayPal account needs to open one in order to send a payment. The information entered to send the payment can be used to set up the new account.
- Select the country the recipient resides in
Once the country has been selected, the sender can choose the type of currency the individual receives after entering the amount to send the recipient. The sender can also select what the payment is for, such as a friend or family, purchasing a product or service or for a cash advance.
- Enter the recipient's email address
An email address for the sender and the recipient is necessary to send payments through PayPal.
- Complete the account creation process
If the sender doesn't have a PayPal account, the next step is to complete the account setup process by choosing a password, entering a name and address and entering debit or credit card information. Once this step is complete, the money is sent to the recipient's PayPal account.
