A one-off bill payment can be made online if the user inputs a Severn Trent account number and postcode to identify the right account before making a Visa or MasterCard payment. Users can also register to manage their accounts online.
Navigating using the Pay Online button is the easiest way to reach the page where a user can input details to identify his account and make the payment. This is located under the Payments heading in the left hand sidebar of the My Account page.
Other methods of payment, including Direct Debit and PayPoint options, are also listed, and the links lead to more information on these methods of payment. Severn Trent offers a live help facility that pops up if the user is accessing the site during office hours in the United Kingdom. For those who prefer telephone transactions, payments can be made over the phone, and Severn Trent also supplies its bank account details to allow customers to make payments using their own banks' online or telephone systems.
The My Account section also provides information for customers on identifying account numbers, who to contact if they have issues with either their water supplies or making payments and ways to use the online services more effectively.
