Enter your checking account, credit card or debit card information on the payment screen to schedule the payment. Your online account also allows you to set up recurring payments withdrawn automatically from your bank account or charged to your credit card.

To pay via text messaging, log into your online account. Access the messaging options under the Preferences tab to enable payments through text messages. Once set up, text "PAY" to 68731 to pay your balance from a bank account set up online.

Call 816-471-5275 or 888-471-5275 to make a payment with the automated system using your credit card, debit card or checking account. If you prefer to mail a payment, send it in the return envelope included with your monthly statement. Authorized Kansas City Power and Light payment locations allow you to pay in person using cash, check or money order. Some locations charge a processing fee of no more than $1.
