You also have the option of paying your First Energy bill by phone using your credit or debit card. To pay by phone, call 866-569-4770. The pay-by-phone service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When calling, you need your account number, the amount you are paying, and the credit or debit card number you are using to make the payment. You also need to provide the month and year of the card's expiration date, as well as the three-digit security card from the back of your credit or debit card.

Once your over-the-phone payment is approved, you receive a confirmation number for your payment. First Energy credits payments that you make before midnight to your account the next business day; if you make a payment after midnight, First Energy credits it to your account in two business days. Call First Energy Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. following your transaction to verify that it processes.
