Customers can pay their DirectTV bill online by logging in to their DirectTV online account, selecting Pay Now from the overview page, entering their payment information and clicking Make Payment. Customers can pay online using a credit or debit card or checking account, but savings accounts cannot be used.
During the online payment process, customers have the option to set up automated billing so that the monthly bill is automatically paid each month using the payment method selected. DirectTV does not charge a processing fee and online payments are processed and applied to the account immediately.
Customers can register for an online account by clicking the Register link from the My Account log in page.
Customers who have a credit or debit card on file can make payments by text. DirectTV also offers an automated phone line at 1-800-531-5000. Customers can select the Make a Payment option and pay with a credit or debit card or checking account. Payments post immediately and are not charged a processing fee.
For a $5 processing fee, as of 2015, customers can pay by phone with a live agent by dialing 1-800-531-5000 and pressing 0 for a customer service representative.
Other payment options include mailing a check and wiring money with MoneyGram or Western Union. There is no processing fee for these options, but payments may take two to three business days to process.
