How Do You Pay a Bill for Philadelphia Gas Works?

Pay a Philadelphia Gas Works bill online, by mail, over the phone or at a customer service center. Customers who are unable to use these payment methods can also make payments at MoneyGram, CheckFree, IPP of America and Americash locations.

Online payment is free of charge for customers who set up online account access. The 10-digit account number, full name on the account and last four digits of the account holder's Social Security number are required to establish an online account.

Customer service centers are open on select weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Philadelphia Gas Works service centers are located in Germantown, Center City and Frankford as well as north, south and west Philadelphia. No fee is applied for making a payment in person.

Pay by phone by calling 215-235-1000 and using the automated system. A convenience fee of $2.95 may be assessed, and the account number is required to successfully make a payment.

When paying by mail, write the account number on the check or money order, and mail it with the bill stub to Philadelphia Gas Works, P.O. Box 11700, Newark, New Jersey, 07101-4700. Do not send cash through the mail. Alternate payment centers, such as MoneyGram, may charge a fee for Philadelphia Gas Works bill payment.
