Numerous international companies are partners of the Emirates Skywards program. These members include other airlines, banks, car rental services, hotels and retail stores, as noted by Emirates on its website.
The Emirates Skywards program is the airline's loyalty program. Each partner of the program has its own policy regarding customers and their Skywards Miles. Some companies only allow earning or spending Skywards Miles, while others let customers both earn and spend them, according to Emirates.
Airline partners of the program include Alaska Airlines, easyJet, Japan Airlines, Jet Airways, JetBlue, Jetstar, Korean Air, Qantas, S7 Airlines, South African Airways, TAP Portugal and Virgin America. The only banking partner, as of 2015, is American Express. It allows Emirates customers to earn Skywards Miles through conversion of American Express Membership Rewards. Car rental agencies include Avis, Budget, Dollar Rent a Car, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt. All of these companies allow customers to earn Skywards Miles, but Budget is the only company that permits redeeming them.
