Full Answer

Jungle Jim's International Market began as a roadside produce stand. Bonaminio opened his first retail grocery store in 1975 in Fairfield, Ohio. The original store was a 4,200 square foot retail space. In 1975, the store expanded to a 15,000 square foot retail space, and the store added its grocery section.

By 1989, Bonaminio expanded the retail space to 45,000 square feet. The store offered groceries, speciality foods, an animal pond and palm trees. In 2001, an additional 85,000 square foot expansion was added along with a monorail and the Oscar Event Center, a space for festivals, wine tasting and concerts. Bonaminio opened a second location in Eastgate, Ohio, in 2012.
