Overstock outlet stores are retailers that offer a specific brand's merchandise for less than the regular retail price. The overstock goods found in outlet stores can differ in quality from those for sale in retail locations, and items may not always be packaged to be sold at retail value.
Outlet stores are commonly located away from traditional shopping centers in individual warehouses, or they may be grouped together in outlet malls. They usually carry products of only a single brand, as they are often owned by the companies that manufacture their merchandise. The products are discounted because they are surplus to requirements, irregular or otherwise unfit for retail sale.
