Organizations are formed by any group of people who share a common goal, such as religious groups, businesses or universities, according to Rockfoundation. Government groups, for example, strive to uphold a group of standards or laws.
The larger a government organization, the more diverse its goals become. In business, corporations endeavor to make a profit for the owners, although the goal may become more specific farther down the chain of command, such as offering great customer service. The non-profit framework is the truest form of an organization because it is not concerned with making a profit. It simply wishes to work towards its stated goal, which may be in areas such as animal welfare or environmental preservation.
