Of these three types, only the first two can be opened online, and the third program requires the customer to visit a branch to open. Regions LifeGreen Savings accounts are available for customers with an existing LifeGreen Checking account and do not incur monthly fees or have a minimum balance requirement. The Regions Savings account requires a minimum daily balance of $300, charges a monthly fee of $5 and requires a $50 initial deposit to open.
