Many cities and counties make property line information available free online. Aggregators such as NETRonline and SearchSystems keep updated listings of links for public records. Not all government offices offer detailed information online, but private companies do not offer property records for free.
Property lines are maintained by county or city clerks, and many municipalities have digitized their records using geographic information systems software. Often, counties maintain a dedicated mapping office that offers online services, including searchable property maps and satellite imagery. When they do not have online services, clerks' offices provide copies of plat maps that indicate property lines.
