The National Association of Realtors provides information on houses sold at its website, Realtor.com. Access details on houses sold in a locality by clicking on the dropdown menu next to the search box and selecting Recently Sold. Then, enter the area to search by ZIP code, address, city, neighborhood or MLS number. Click continue. The resulting list shows homes recently sold in the target area, initially sorted by price. Use the link in the upper right to view properties on a map.

At Zillow.com indicate the area for the home search and click the search icon. Homes in the area selected appear on a map. At the top of the page, select Listing Type and check the box for Recently Sold. Results appear on the map and in a list to the right, initially sorted by most recent sales.

Homes.com collects information on homes sold in its Home Values section. Select Home Values at the top of the page and enter location information by ZIP code, city and state or property address. The resulting search lists recently sold homes and homes for sale together in map view.
