Some of the names for the Budweiser horses include Bud, Captain, Duke and Mark. The Budweiser horses are Clydesdales and are often seen in commercials. These horses can also been seen at events, such as parades, pulling specially designed gold beer wagons.
To make it easier to give the horses commands during appearances and performances, their names are kept short, such as a single syllable. The horses must meet certain requirements to be selected. Each horse must be a gelding, at least 4 years old, have four white legs, a bay coat, white blaze, black tail and black mane. They must weigh between 1,800 and 2,300 pounds and stand 72 inches tall at the shoulder when mature.
