Chipotle does not have franchises with very few exceptions, as of April 2015. The few Chipotle franchises that exist were established in the early days of the company.
Chiptole says it has no need to franchise because it has the funds for growth and the people to manage its restaurants. The chain wants to keep control over how it runs its restaurants. Franchise Help recommends that people who want to open a Chiptole franchise instead look to Una Mas Mexican Grill with an investment of $225,000 to $300,000, Wall Street Deli with an investment of $300,000 or Mara's Cafe & Bakery with an investment of $340,000 to $425,000.
