Physician-prescribed outpatient services, including speech, occupational therapy and physical therapy, are covered by Medicare Part B, states Caring.com. The 2015 therapy cap limit is $1,940 for physical and speech-language therapy combined, according to Medicare.gov. Occupational therapy services are capped separately at $1,940 a year. Cap exceptions are considered if a therapist establishes and records a medically necessary need and that information is included on the Medicare claim.
