Full Answer

In order for home health services to be covered, the patient must be receiving services under a plan of care established and reviewed regularly by a doctor, the home health agency caring for the patient must be Medicare-certified and a doctor must certify that the patient is homebound. Costs for home health care services under original Medicare are zero and 20 percent of the Medicare-approved amount for durable medical equipment.
