FPL customers can pay their bills online at the company's website by clicking the Pay Bill link at the top of the main page and logging in with an email address or user ID and password. This option requires customer registration, and customers must sign up with their account numbers, the last four digits of their Social Security numbers, as well as their banking account and routing numbers. Once enrolled, customers can make one-time payments or schedule future payments.

Paying an FPL bill by phone requires customers to call the number on the front of their bills with a touch-tone phone. Customers then press 2 and then 3 on the keypads and enter their bank account information as directed by the automated system. The system then provides customers with a confirmation number that verifies payment has been made.

Payment by mail goes to FPL, General Mail Facility, Miami, FL, 33188-0001, as of March 2015. Customers must include the top portions of their bills and write their FPL account numbers on the checks or money orders used for payment. This payment method normally takes five to seven days to post.
