To make a daily routine planner, gather a three-ring binder, divider inserts, printer paper and a three-hole punch. Place your inserts in your binder depending on the sections you want to access, including each week or month, addresses or contacts, notes and to-do lists. Design a detailed daily planner sheet template on a word processing program and save it before printing enough to fill your binder.
Some daily planners are divided into hours, requiring one planner sheet per day with a block for each hour. Some daily planners have an entire week on one planner sheet, designed with a landscape page layout. Include a section on the sheet for any notes or reminders for each day. Alternately, edit a planner sheet template already provided by your word processing program. Save your personalized sheet template using a clear file name for future use.
Print out at least three months worth of sheets to keep your binder organized. Once printed, hole punch the planner sheets. If you pre-dated your sheets, ensure the hole is punched on the correct side, so the dates line up correctly. Place the sheets into your binder with your inserts placed correctly. Replace the sheets, as needed, discarding used sheets if they no longer contain important information.
Design a cover page to insert into the front of your binder. Customize the binder or set it apart using scrapbook materials. Insert photos or stickers into the front clear sleeve to personalize it.
