To make an online payment with Capital One, you'll first need to set up an account from which to pay. After doing so, the “Make a One-Time Payment” option in the “Payments” menu allows you to make payments for credit cards and bills, as well as to other people.
After selecting “Make a One-Time Payment” from the “Payments” menu, you are prompted to select which credit card account or who you want to pay and the amount you want to pay. You also have the option of choosing the date for the payment and can schedule up to three payments at a time. Payments can be scheduled up to 90 days in advance.
To see if a payment has posted, check the transactions and details page if you are enrolled in online servicing. Online servicing is free and only requires signing up on the Capital One online servicing enrollment page.
