The United States Postal Service does not deliver mail on Veteran's Day because it is considered to be an observed postal holiday. Other shipping companies may recognize the holiday but still deliver packages on it. Veteran's Day occurs annually on November 11.
The United Parcel Service does not observe Veteran's Day, so it still picks up and delivers packages on the date. Federal Express is another shipping provider that does not close for Veteran's Day and delivers packages normally. Some national holidays that USPS, UPS and FedEx all observe and don't normally deliver packages on include Christmas, New Year's Day, Independence Day and Thanksgiving. Some providers, such as FedEx, do make exceptions for critical packages on these dates.
