Find out the address of a business in the United Kingdom by using the online applications provided by the U.K. government. In addition to providing address information, the application displays previous company names, current officers, mortgage-charge data and date of incorporation.
To use the application at Gov.uk, click the green Start Now button, then type the name of the company or an officer, and click the blue search button. Choose a company from the list to access all information. As the database also includes dissolved companies, check the status of the company below the address to make sure you're looking at the correct company.
Alternatively, you can use the search tool at the website of the Companies House of the United Kingdom. The search tool offers filter options and can display more results per page than the application at Gov.uk. Fill in the search criteria, and click Search to initiate the process. Click the number of a company to see its address, contact details, date of incorporation and other information.
The government also offers a subscription service that notifies users when a company changes any information, including its address. Create an account on the website of the Companies House of the United Kingdom to access the service. Whereas the search tools are free to use, the subscription service costs £4 per month. As of December 2015, this translates to some $6 per month.
