The Kraftmaid Factory Outlet offers low prices on quality furniture, but has a number of restrictions that sometimes confuse first-time shoppers. The store is only open on two Saturdays each month, so planning ahead is key. Numbered wristbands are distributed outside of the door at approximately 6:15 a.m. to 7:00 a.m,, with each customer receiving one. A number is then drawn and 150 people, starting with the drawn number, are allowed to enter the outlet. An additional 150 people are allowed to enter every 20 minutes. Customers without a wristband have to wait until everyone else is admitted before going in.
Customers express interest in a piece by affixing their last name and number to an item. The number is what number person is claiming the item, so the first person uses one, the second uses two and so on. To checkout, customers talk to an employee with a clipboard that marks the last name in crayon, indicating the item is sold. Checks cannot be used at the outlet.Learn more about Corporations
