Blue Light Security offers several different customizable home alarm systems that support multiple wireless alert zones and connect with other devices, such as smoke alarms, as of 2015. Some models allow owners to connect a set number of wired sensors as well, with many models also functioning over a wireless Internet connection rather than a phone line.
Though Blue Light Security frequently updates its inventory to include new models from different manufacturers, all its systems operate on the ADT security network. Each model available through the company consists of a base alarm terminal that controls the entire system and connects to the external security sensors to monitor the home and activate or deactivate the system. Some models feature a touch-screen control panel, which enables the owner to activate or deactivate the system, find information about the sate of different alarm zones and initiate a direct call to the ADT protection center.
The company also sells several types of sensors that function with its main control units, including open area wireless detectors, standard window detectors and slim door detectors. The open area sensors emit a signal that scans a set area for motion, ignoring pets that weigh less than 80 pounds, whereas the door and window sensors include two components that detect when one component separates from the other. All of the systems available from Blue Light Security also function with the smoke and heat detectors, which wirelessly connect to the base, and car key chain remote activation tools.
