Pharmacists complete a variety of tasks relating to health and medicine, including fulfilling prescriptions, calculating dosage quantities and creating medicinal formulas. As such, a key part of the job involves the calculation and conversion of weights and measures. The basic principles of scientific math and statistics are also necessary for pharmacists to know and use, according to the Seattle PI.
