How Does the JCPenny Rewards Card Work?

Customers who join the JCPenney Rewards program earn one point for each dollar spent on qualifying purchases in the store, salon, optical center, portrait services, custom decorating and online purchases. Customers who accrue 100 points in a month earn a $10 JCPenney Reward.

Customers sign up for the Rewards program online or at a JCPenney store. Signing up in the store means the customer receives a plastic JCPenney Rewards card. Customers who sign up online get digital cards. Both cards work the same for earning points toward Rewards.

Once signed up, the user can connect the Rewards Card with an online JCPenney account. This allows the member to check the Rewards point balance online and earn points for online purchases. At the store, the customer may show the physical Rewards card or give the associate the email address or phone number linked to the account.

JCPenney Rewards members may only earn one $10 reward per month. Rewards members who use a JCPenney credit card may earn up to 10 rewards each month. Customers may access certificates online, via email, at the checkout, as a text message or in the mail. At the end of the month, the Rewards balance goes back to zero, whether or not the customer earned a reward that month.
